Our private party offering is becoming increasingly popular. Whether it is a birthday party, hen do, team building event, school trip or work’s Christmas outing, we promise a truly amazing experience
The session format is:
-A warm welcome and tour of the building.
-Full, informative demonstrations of your chosen dish by our experienced Chef Tutor, before visiting the workstations to create your masterpiece.
-The dining table will be set so once your group have finished cooking you can sit down and enjoy your creations together.
-Wine, beer and soft drinks will be offered throughout the session.
Session examples:
Chicken Tikka Masala (gluten free) (vegetarian option available) Tikka Masala was in fact invented in Glasgow and slowly gaining its popularity at Christmas time, with lots of people now opting for an Indian Curry over the usual traditional roasts. Whether this is for your festive party or not, book in for a great fun, flavoursome session full of good food and plenty of vino.
Beef Wellington Here at the Academy we believe this is the perfect main course. In this session we break tradition and replace the usual mushroom duxelle with amazing black pudding. Who doesn’t love the sound of 21 day aged fillet steak, black pudding, buttery puff pastry and a red wine, port and shallot jus. Our chef tutor will break this classic down for you into nice easy steps to follow so your whole party will create a perfect masterpiece.
Balmoral Venison Loin (gluten free) Venison loin straight from the Balmoral Estate, aged for 21 days in our Himalayan salt chamber and then cooked perfectly by….YOU. Whilst having amazing fun in this session you will also gain fantastic skills. There is potato rosti, beautiful garnishes and one of the tastiest sauces imaginable. A perfect session to get the gang together for a great day out.
Shellfish Risotto (gluten free) (vegetarian option available) Perfect risotto can be achieved by anyone and doesn’t just belong on a restaurant menu. We will show you how. Let’s not stop there though, let’s use a shellfish bisque, hand dived scallops, king prawns and truffle to create the most amazing risotto you have ever tasted. A definite “compliments to the chef” style session.
King Prawn Massaman Curry (gluten free) (vegetarian option available) In this session you will create a spectacular Thai style curry paste from scratch using lots of amazing ingredients such as fresh chillies, ginger, lemongrass, tamarind and coriander to name a few. You will then go on to create a king prawn curry that will top any Thai curry you have tasted and what’s better is that the recipe is yours to make time and time again. Proper tasty food.
Seared Monkfish (gluten free) In this session we get a hold of some beautiful Scottish mussels and create a fantastic, fragrant sauce that we use to dress a perfectly seared piece of gorgeous monkfish tail. This session really is a seafood lovers paradise with flavours that could gain anyone there 17th Michelin Star…maybe! Very simple cooking, done right in this session.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Session numbers are a minimum of 8 people, maximum of 16 people.
- The chosen session must suit for all participants. Individual dietary requirements will only be considered if it a simple substitute of ingredient and not changing the fundamentals of the dish.
- Please note that we do not cater for a vegan diet within group bookings, unless the chosen session suits.
- Private Package 1 course session(Adults Only) = £520 (8 guests minimum), Additional guests = £55 per person
- Private Package 2 course session(Adults Only) = £680 (8 guests minimum), Additional guests = £75 per person
- Private Package (Kids Only) = £360 (8 guests minimum), Additional guests = £35 per person
